Teaching Assistant Workshop: Diversity by Design (Science/Labs)

This workshop provides an opportunity for new and returning teaching assistants to consider the importance of inclusive teaching practices within their role in and outside of the classroom.

Through the session, TAs will explore how unconscious bias and common mircoagressions can impact the students they work with, while also learning key skills that build and sustain inclusive and respectful classroom, lab and learning environments. TAs will have opportunities to share their experiences and learn from their peers across disciplines.
