The Executive Director, Operations, under guidance and direction from the Associate Vice President, Equity and Inclusion (AVPEI), supports strategic planning in collaboration with the AVPEI and EIO Directors, promotes and supports effective people development and management practices, provides administrative leadership and support to EIO functions, provides oversight of EIO operations and services, including portfolio financial and budget management, coordination of executive and Board reporting, as well as strategic communications functions.

The Director, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (IDEA) (Okanagan) is responsible for driving the Equity and Inclusion Office (EIO)’s three-pronged mandate: (1) to enable data-informed planning and evaluation for the effective implementation of institutional initiatives; (2) to develop strategic partnerships to imbed equity and inclusion principles and practices throughout academic and administrative units and building campus wide capacity for systems change; and (3) to provide skillful and impartial advising for the early resolution or appropriate referral of human rights and equity related concerns and complaints.
