Do you have an idea for an initiative that advances equity, diversity and inclusion at UBC? We believe in supporting community-led projects that are informed by community voices. By providing funding to UBC community members, including students, faculty, and staff, we seek to build capacity to lead change and meet the specific and localized needs of diverse communities.
A range of funding opportunities are available to students, faculty and staff, as well as external community partners interested in building a more inclusive UBC and more inclusive community partnerships.
Equity Enhancement Fund (EEF)
The Equity Enhancement Fund supports faculty and staff-led initiatives that enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion at UBCV and UBCO. The fund is open for applications twice a year with the current application cycle closing November 14.
Inclusive Initiatives Fund (IIF)
The Inclusive Initiatives Fund provides low-barrier access to funds for students at UBCV and UBCO working to build a more inclusive UBC. Starting November 1st, 2021, students can apply any time of the year.
Partnership Recognition Fund (PRF)
UBC’s PRF offers funding that helps to fill small resource gaps and acknowledge the work of community groups that partner with UBC. In 2021, the fund welcomes applications for projects that advance equity and justice through reciprocal community engagement.
