Stand-up for sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) diversity and celebrate Pride at this year’s Vancouver Pride Parade. Take-up space and show your Pride and support for the LGBTQ2SIA+ communities at UBC and beyond.
This year, up to a 100 students, faculty, staff, and community members from UBC Vancouver campus are invited to march in the Vancouver’s annual Pride parade.
UBC’s Equity & Inclusion Office is facilitating individual participation, seeking to centre and prioritize the involvement of queer and/or trans community members at UBC.
Participants will receive a free t-shirt and placards that can be customized with individual designs and messages.
We hope that this opportunity centres and celebrates LGBTQ2SIA+ community members learning, teaching, researching, working, and living at UBC and their long-standing and passionate engagement to make the campus communities more welcoming and inclusive. Logistics and co-ordination of the event will be facilitated by UBC staff members who have to-date championed the Parade organization.
