Hosted by the UBC Equity Ambassadors, Sex In All Languages – part of UBC’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month – is a student panel discussion and dialogue on sex & empowerment through cross-cultural perspectives.
Open to all students, its purpose is to provide a safe and inclusive space for students to share their personal experiences of what sex means to them and how sex is portrayed across different cultures.
We will discuss how sex might be understood differently across cultures as well as trying to challenge the hetero-normative assumptions that shape understandings of sex. This event is a part of the annual campus-wide Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVP required.
