About This Event

This event brings together new UBC students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Colour. There will be free food, activities, resources, and the opportunity to make new friends and connections.

What does the BIPoC acronym mean?

At UBC, we sometimes use the acronym BIPoC in reference to those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (PoC).

Who are people of colour?

The term “person of color” (people of color, persons of color; POC) is used to encompass all identities of non-white or racialized people, with the intent of emphasizing common experiences of systemic inequities.
