In solidarity with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the UBC Equity & Inclusion Office is hosting a student-led roundtable discussion on the experiences of racialized students at UBC.
This discussion is aimed at stimulating thoughtful conversations on the subtle (and not so subtle) ways in which racism manifests itself at the university and the presence or lack of support for students who experience these forms of racism.
This event aims to build community and solidarity around the shared experiences of BIPoC students (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) during their time at UBC.
Anyone is welcome to join and take part! Discussions from this day will help inform the Inclusion Action Plan development and future campus-wide engagements to build a more welcoming and Inclusive UBC.
Free but RSVP requested as space is limited.
Light dinner will be served.
