Conflict Management

The Equity & Inclusion Office takes your human rights-based discrimination or harassment concerns seriously. The Director of Conflict Management, Monica Kay is a supportive resource for the UBC community on issues related to equity and human rights, and on maintaining UBC’s equity and human rights-related commitments.

Support can range from a confidential conversation about a concern (see below), to exploring possible options for resolution (looking at informal options first), to discussion of other potential resources across UBC, or discussing other resources as appropriate. Monica works from an impartial perspective in providing these resources, and is also available to provide proactive capacity-building to prevent concerns from arising in the first place.
